NEW REALTIME ANIMATION FEATURE
SUMMER AT THE OAXACA BEACH VILLAS
Realtime Animation has made tremendous advances with the release of Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
What is Realtime Animation? Well, it is basically animation that is rendered instantaneously. It allows our team to preview animated cameras without having to wait the hours of render time that CPU Animation demands.
Our real-time engine of choice, UE5, was previously very limited in how to portray photorealistic water. This has totally changed, however, with the release of Fluid Flux 2.0!
Fluid Flux 2 is a powerful real-time shallow water simulation. It uses velocity and physics to generate waves and waterfalls. It renders caustics, wetness, and foam with ease. It interacts with meshes like rocks and can support up to a 10 x 10 KM coastline!
Fluid Flux 2 is a real game-changer. It is easy to use and rivals the realism achieved with CGI water simulations like Pheonix FD. We honestly can't find anything negative to say about this masterpiece!
With all these advancements, we can't wait to be using Unreal Engine on more animation projects and can see a day when we are using it for Static Renderings!
